Directions to Gidleigh Park

Rail

Gidleigh Park is a 30-40 minute drive from Exeter St David's train station. You will require a taxi from the train station, which we recommend you organise in advance. Please contact our Reception team who will be happy to advise.

Air

Exeter International Airport is just 30 miles from the hotel. If you require transport from the airport please contact our Reception team who will be happy to help. Otherwise, we would recommend hiring a car (bearing in mind that the roads near the hotel are rather narrow!).

Car

If you are travelling by car, the hotel has a private car park on-site which is complimentary to our guests.

We recommend that our guests do not rely on satellite navigation to find Gidleigh Park, and follow signs to Chagford not to the village of Gidleigh.

Directions from London

You can come via the M4 and M5, or the M3 and A303.

If coming via the M4, go west until Junction 20, then take the M5 South until Junction 31, turning onto the A30 West (then follow directions below).

If coming via the M3, go south until Junction 8, then take the A303 West. After Ilminster, the A303 becomes the A30. Keep on the A30 until you reach the outskirts of Exeter, join the M5 at Junction 29 and continue on the M5 until Junction 31, then re-join the A30 West.

On the A30 West, 15 miles west of Exeter, turn left onto the A382 (signposted Moretonhampstead) and then follow signs to Chagford. Do not go to Gidleigh.

In Chagford Square, with the Spar shop directly in front of you, turn right. After 150 yards, take the right fork and go downhill to Factory Crossroads. Go straight into Holy Street and follow the lane for one and a half miles to the end.
