Gidleigh Park’s Michelin-starred restaurant gives an anniversary or birthday a clear centre. Seasonal menus, Devon ingredients and the country-house setting create a dinner that belongs to the hotel rather than feeling added to it. Current choices may include longer tasting menus as well as more relaxed dining formats.

Use the Celebration Package

When the Inclusions Fit

The current Celebration Package is designed as a two-night stay. It includes breakfast each morning, dinner on the first night, afternoon tea on the second day, Champagne on arrival and flowers. The package is for adults and must be booked in advance, with dinner and afternoon tea allowances governed by the current terms.

It is a strong choice when those elements match the occasion. Guests who would rather spend the second day walking, book a different dining format or stay for only one night may be better served by arranging the room and extras separately. The live offer page should always be checked before the copy is published or the stay is reserved.

Plan a Day

That Does Not Feel Programmed

The hotel grounds allow a celebration to breathe. There is space for a morning walk, a slow afternoon or a drink before dinner without needing to organise transport. Chagford, Castle Drogo and wider Dartmoor are available when guests want a day out, but there is no requirement to make the trip busy.

For a proposal, the hotel team can discuss private corners of the estate, dining arrangements and room preparation. Weather, access and other guests must be considered, so it is better to ask than to arrive with a fixed plan built around an unconfirmed location.

Gidleigh Park can accommodate smaller groups across its bedrooms and suites, and the Haytor Family Loft Suite provides a practical option for a family of four. Private dining and hotel activities may help bring the group together without requiring every hour to be shared.

For larger private celebrations, exclusive use of the hotel includes 24 bedrooms and the wider estate, subject to availability and a separate event conversation. This is a different proposition from booking a few rooms, so it should be explored early.
